I have been part of the team as a frontend developer since March 2024. Even today, I am still active in this exciting position within the company. Before my time at M&M / Digital Reload, I had already gained initial experience at a company based in Berlin.

I see a real personal and professional future for myself here. For this reason, I moved from Berlin to Merzig together with my family—a big and not easy step for all of us. The trust in my teammates, as well as the great relationship with my team and department leads, gave me the courage I needed to actually take this path.

At the moment, I feel very comfortable and that I belong, because the balance between professionalism and the family-like atmosphere is truly right. That gives me a very good feeling, and I am glad to be a permanent part of this team today as a frontend developer.

Day-to-day collaboration here is quite relaxed and straightforward. I can work flexibly from home or in the office, which makes everyday work very pleasant for me and helps me balance my professional and private life well.

What I particularly appreciate is the open communication within the team. Whether with my colleagues, my team lead, or the head of the IT department—you can ask questions or raise topics at any time. Everyone is helpful, and you can simply tell that everyone wants to work together on solutions.

The atmosphere is also very respectful. If something is missing or not quite right, it is addressed openly and constructively—without pressure or blame. That makes working together truly pleasant.

Even when there are problems, many things happen surprisingly quickly. Instead of waiting a long time for meetings, we clarify many things spontaneously in short check-ins. On our office days, we sit down together and go through more complex topics or architecture questions directly as a team.

What I especially like is that I can contribute my ideas at any time, and they are also heard. As a result, I feel that I am actively contributing to the team’s success—and that is exactly what makes the difference for me in everyday work.

What I particularly appreciate about my work is the opportunity to take on responsibility and truly help shape things.

Especially in my area of expertise, I can see directly that my opinion is heard and has an influence on decisions—which is, of course, very motivating.

In doing so, I never have the feeling that experience or position plays a role. Ideas are taken seriously, and many decisions are made together as a team. You do not simply work through tasks; you actively contribute.

And one thing I can say very clearly: it does not get boring. When I started, I would not have expected to work on so many different projects. By now, I am involved in both mobile and desktop projects, which makes everyday work very varied.

Each project brings new challenges, and that is exactly what makes it exciting. You are constantly learning, trying out new approaches, and gaining new experience again and again.

I believe the best fit for us is someone who is open, curious, and team-oriented. Nobody expects you to know everything—what matters much more is that you ask questions, get involved, and are keen to find solutions together.

That is exactly what defines our team as well: you support each other and truly work together, instead of just alongside one another.
